We've always loved watching Jacqueline Laurita with her husband, Chris, on Real Housewives of New Jersey. But how did the two meet?

Jacqueline tells Millennium Magazine that she met Chris when she was modeling at a national trade show in Chicago. Apparently, Chris's brother knew Jac's co-worker, so the group decided to meet up afterward. "At dinner, we talked all night and had an instant connection," she reveals.

However, Jac was living in Nevada at the time, and Chris was in New Jersey. "We grew a friendship and long-distance relationship for five years," she explains. "But distance did take its toll, and we broke up for almost one year. I was miserable, tried dating, and realized that I needed him in my life."

One day, Chris suddenly flew into town and surprised Jac by proposing to her in front of her daughter, Ashlee Holmes. "I was concerned about uprooting my daughter and moving away from my parents, but I knew I had to say yes," Jacqueline says.

Wow! That's quite the surprising story, as it's hard to believe that Jac and Chris actually came close to never really given their relationship a chance. Luckily, everything worked out for the best!

Are you surprised by how their relationship came together?
