Is Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 6 not actually going to premiere as soon as we thought it would? A new rumor suggests that the show's upcoming season premiere is being delayed to accommodate Teresa Giudice's legal drama.
We had previously gotten word that Bravo was likely to start airing new Season 6 episodes in July 2014. However, Radar Online now reports that Bravo has yet to select a premiere date and won't do so until after Teresa and husband's sentencing takes place on July 8.
"Teresa’s legal team absolutely won’t let her do any interviews before the sentencing hearing because it could impact her sentence," says a source. "If Teresa was out doing press interviews promoting RHONJ before the July 8 sentencing, it would look like she wasn’t taking the process seriously….. which she definitely is."
"After the sentence is handed down, it’s expected Bravo will officially give season six a premiere date," adds the source. "Having Teresa available to do press interviews and promotions is essential."
It's certainly disappointing that we may have to wait longer than expected to see new RHONJ episodes. Still, if it means that Teresa will be able to be involved with promoting the show, it's probably all worth it.
How do you feel about Bravo delaying the upcoming season because of Teresa's fraud case?
