There's been a lot of drama both on The Real Housewives of New Jersey and in the press about Melissa Gorga's living situation. She and hubby Joe are working on a house in Franklin Lakes but, as we saw in the most recent episode of RHONJ, Melissa's not in love with the rental that they're living in as they wait. On top of that, they are having some big problems with the guy who moved into their old house. What's the story?

Melissa decided to use this week's Bravo blog to clear the situation up.

According to Melissa, last year she and Joe truly believed they'd sold their old Montville home. However, they "signed a purchase contract and agreed on an extended close." This is called a lease-purchase agreement, and it's common enough that Melissa and Joe weren't concerned that something would go wrong. As she explained, "We would have NEVER moved our family into a rental or bought a property in Franklin Lakes if we thought otherwise."

While Melissa can't get into the details of what ended up going down, she writes that now she and Joe "are currently taking the appropriate legal steps to remove this person from [their] home."

What then? Well, they'll move back to Montville, since it doesn't make sense to rent an extra house while they have a home just sitting there. They will continue to build the house in Franklin Lakes, and "will decide at a later date which house we'll put on the market."

Wow. Sounds exhausting. We hope everything works out!
