Sigh. Last week, Episode 5 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 6 pulled in over 2 million viewers for the first time since the premiere, and we were hoping to hear about similarly high numbers this week, but no such luck. The ratings have dipped again for Episode 6.

This Sunday's episode, which did not feature any big fights, or much excitement at all, really, only pulled in 1.7 million viewers, according to TV By the Numbers. That's down from the 2 million the week before. This week the show also only earned a 0.8 in the all important Adults 18-49 demo, down from 0.9 last week.

We were hoping last week was the start of an upward trend, but it looks like that wasn't the case. In fact, this week had the second lowest ratings of the season, after Episode 2, which pulled in only 1.64 million viewers.

So, what changed? Our guess is that a lot of viewers wanted to see the potential Jim Marchese vs. Joe Gorga fight that was teased for Episode 5, or just wanted to see the aftermath of the First Responder's party in general. This week, Episode 6, didn't have anything nearly as big going on, so the promos were less exciting.
