We knew something was up when Danielle Staub was spotted leaving Andy Cohen’s Rockefeller Center offices last month, and now we can report that the 50-year-old divorced mother of two is set to return to The Real Housewives of New Jersey for the show’s fifth season!
Danielle starred on the the first two seasons of the show, but was fired after Season 2 and replaced with Kathy Wakile and Melissa Gorga.
According to In Touch, Bravo has already offered Danielle a contract. “Danielle is contemplating whether this will be full-time or part-time,” an insider tells the mag.
Apparently RHoNJ producers were eager for a change, because they felt that the feud between the Gorga and Giudice families was getting stale.
“The producers squeezed all the juice they could from the Giudices-versus-Gorgas story line and had to think of a fresh outlet for drama,” the source continued. “Having her back on will ruffle a lot of feathers!”
You can say that again!
The mag also reports that Danielle will be filming “several episodes” and that production has already begun on Season 5 as the H’Wives deal with the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.
