We know that Season 5 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey is a go, but sources are telling the Huffington Post that the future of the show could be in jeopardy, thanks to Teresa Giudice.
Melissa Gorga has previously stated that she’s “officially done” with her sister-in-law, and now Jacqueline and Caroline Manzo seem to be echoing those sentiments.
An insider reveals, “Caroline and Jacqueline are also disgusted with Teresa. They have nothing to do with her in real life anymore and refuse to fake a relationship when the camera’s are rolling. They would rather leave the show than film with Teresa.”
While the incessant feuding is a major part of what’s made the show such a huge success, many viewers now feel that the tone of the show has gotten too dark and depressing. Still, Bravo knows that RHoNJ is a cash cow, and a source close to production says the network would prefer to keep all of the current housewives in the cast, rather than let anyone go.
“The plan is to try and find a way the group can come back together. Forgiveness is a very powerful emotion especially when it is captured on TV. None of the ladies have been invited back yet and no shoot date has been finalized, but in the next few weeks expect many meetings to try and get all these ladies working together again.”
And knowing Andy Cohen, Bravo also has an alternate plan in place in case Teresa’s sins can’t be forgiven.
“Plus, if all else fails, plan B is to hire one or two new ladies to film with Teresa,” the source continued.
