Jacqueline Laurita Opens Up About the “Hurtful Realization” That She and Teresa Giudice Were Never Great Friends
We all felt the awkwardness seep through our TV screens at Antonia’s birthday when Teresa Giudice and Jacqueline Laurita encountered each other for the first time since Melissa Gorga’s album release party. Now Jaqueline is opening up about that moment and what she has since learned about her friendship with Teresa.
In her latest BravoTV.com blog Jacqueline writes, “I realized at this point that we never had as deep of a friendship as I had perceived it to be. Looking back, it was more of a surface friendship.”
“I realize that there are all types of different friendships, and I guess I thought we were closer than we actually were. It was a hurtful realization. The problem was that I allowed myself to care too much for someone who clearly didn't want to or wasn't capable of being that close with me,” she continued.
Jacqueline goes on to explain that she was able to go to Napa and interact with Teresa because she changed her expectations of the friendship. “I believed that I could be in her presence and still be civil. I let go of any expectations that I had of her. I knew that our friendship had changed forever,” she writes.
We know the demise of this friendship was tough for Jacqueline (and Teresa, for that matter) but we’re glad she’s finally at peace with it. Hang in there, Jac!
