Since revealing that her 3-year-old son Nicholas has autism a few months ago, Jacqueline Laurita has kept her Twitter followers updated on all of Nick’s progress. Like any proud mom, Jacqueline is eager to share any of his accomplishments, big or small.

We already know that Nick can say a few words and make eye contact, but now the little guy is doing something all on his own that’s even surprised his family.

On Oct.11, Jacqueline tweeted, “Nicholas now does high fives, consistently, whenever requested!!!”

And while Nick is making improvements left and right, Jacqueline continues to embrace her beautiful son for exactly who he is. “Children w/Autism r like snowflakes. All labeled the same, bright & beautiful, yet all different. Find what works 4 ur child 2 help them recover! XOXO!” she tweeted.

Hugs and high fives to Nick!
