For some reason, Teresa Giudice is still angry at her cousin Kathy Wakile and sister-in-law Melissa Gorga for joining The Real Housewives of New Jersey, and Melissa has once again found herself on the offense, saying she never asked Tre to get her on the show.
“I never once asked Teresa to put me or my family on the show. I've never called a producer and there was no audition tape where we said we will ‘take down’ Teresa,” Melissa writes in her BravoTV.com blog. “If I had, I probably wouldn't be on the show. They don't cast people who beg and promise malicious things.”
In fact, Melissa also states that she was nothing but supportive of Teresa when Bravo began the casting process several years ago. She explains, “I remember when Teresa got offered the show. She was at my house for dinner and we were all discussing it as a family. Most were telling her not to do it. I told her to go for it. I said take the opportunity. If I had been jealous I wouldn't have told her to go for it. I also called her and said congrats when she got it!”
Even though Melissa encouraged Teresa to be on the show, she also confesses that she did so partially in an effort to improve her relationship with her sister-in-law.
“To be honest, I thought it would calm her down with me. I thought this would help her feel like she ‘wins’ — that she is the best,” Melissa admits. “I thought she would feel more secure now and stop coming at me so we could just be a family. I was so wrong about that.”
