Patti LaBelle, Puking, and More WTF Moments from Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 4, Episode 12: “The Jersey Side Step”
On Sunday’s episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, we got a short break from our regularly scheduled drama, and instead got a chance to see what the Jersey juniors were up to.
From watching Gia Giudice make waves on the Beatstock stage, to cringing as Chris Manzo made a fool of himself pretty much across the entire state of New Jersey, there were a lot of LOL worthy gems, but we somehow managed to narrow it down.

1. Rocking to the Beatstock
After days of rehearsals with Cris Judd, and countless hours staring into full-length studio mirrors, superstars in the making Gia Giudice and Melissa Gorga finally took the stage at Beatstock. Gia looked like she was born to perform, and even though we were momentarily blinded by her father Joe Giudice’s outrageous bedazzled vest, we couldn’t keep our eyes off the preteen phenom. Melissa, meanwhile, wasn’t quite as engaging a performer, but the girl did look great. That’s all that counts, right?
2. Joe of the Jungle
While Melissa was working it in the studio, husband Joe Gorga was hoping she would work it in the bedroom instead. Sunday’s episode was pretty much a montage of sexually frustrated Joe trying his hardest to let out his inner “Tarzan,” and getting shut down at every turn. Melissa didn’t help anything, parading around in teeny bikinis and sparkly shorts, but Joe’s got to realize that his budding singer may not always have time to hit those high notes with him in bed anymore.
3. Chris the Lightweight
So we’re all for the mantra “work hard, play hard,” but Christopher Manzo must have forgotten the “work hard’ bit this week. While he’s always good for a laugh or two, watching the dude down scrapple (ew) and shots, only to immediately puke them up, were a few choice moments our sensitive eyes could’ve done without. Luckily, the adult in charge, Chris Laurita, was a good sport about the whole thing, but if Sunday was any indication, his patience may have just about run out.
4. Patti LaBelle Product Placement
Once again, the New Jersey housewives are pulling the big ticket celebrity cameos. This week, we were treated to a spirited appearance by living legend, Patti LaBelle. But it seems the songstress was pedaling sauces rather than soul at the Fancy Foods Conference right alongside BLK Water. Greg, giddy at the prospect of meeting his idol, even got a chance to bond with his self-appointed “godmother,” and get an unsolicited celebrity endorsement from her! Watch out Caroline Manzo, there may be a new face of the Manzo brand!
5. Teresa and Joe Giudice: Separate Rooms, Separate Lives?
If little Audriana hadn’t mentioned her “dad’s room” while Teresa Giudice was busy getting her makeup done, we may have missed this unverified rumor: The Giudices are apparently living in separate bedrooms.
In her one-on-one confessional, former BFF Jacqueline Laurita hinted at the fact that the two may just be putting on a brave face for the cameras, and given their recent interactions, it makes more sense than not. We know from TomKat experience that separate bedrooms can’t mean anything good, so we’ll have to wait and see if this means the Giudices are headed for splitsville too.
