Sunday night’s Season 4 finale of The Real Housewives of New Jersey ended with all of the housewives disgusted at Teresa Giudice for seemingly setting up Melissa Gorga, trying to prove that she worked as a stripper many moons ago.
While the other H’wives (and many viewers) believed Teresa was guilty of formulating this sinister plot, RHoNJ producers claim that Tre was not involved.
A group of executive producers — who go by the Twitter handle @PurveyorsofPop — were live-tweeting during Sunday’s finale and offered their own take on what went down at the Posche Fashion Show.
“As far as we know Teresa was not involved in#STRIPPERGATE, but one thing is for sure Melissa is NOT a stripper,” they tweeted.
Later that night they added, “#TOUGHCALL we know it's a set up but as far as we know @Teresa_Giudice was not involved. #RHONJ.”
So the producers don’t exactly absolve Teresa of any involvement in “strippergate” but as people who are directly involved with filming the show, we’d expect them to know if Teresa really was aware of any plan to humiliate Melissa.
