On Oprah: Where Are They Now?, Oprah Winfrey catches up with the headline makers of old, and gets them to open up about their past and present lives in the way that only Oprah can. So, of course, we were interested to hear what former The Real Housewives of New Jersey troublemaker Danielle Staub would have to say when she appeared on the August 10 episode of the show; sadly, the story she had to tell was a tough one.
Danielle left Real Housewives of New Jersey in 2010, and she says it's because the public scrutiny was too much for her and her family.
"Unfortunately, there was some really difficult moments, which ended up being the turning point for me," Danielle explains. "The most darkness I experienced from the Housewives; I got broken so bad."
She goes on to describe her lowest point. There was a weekend she had her children's father take care of their kids, because she was "contemplating killing [herself]."
Clearly emotional, Danielle goes on to say that the "only reason" she didn't is because she didn't want to leave her kids with that memory.
Man. Whatever you think of Danielle, this is tough to hear.
