After weeks of tense negotiations with Bravo, the cast of the Real Housewives of New York (minus Luann de Lesseps, who’s still holding out) have begun filming season six. But have they met their new cast members yet? The rumor mill has been buzzing that one or even two more housewives might be joining the show, although no names have been confirmed. And source on the show tells us no new faces have shown up to film…yet.
“So far, the women from last season – Sonja, Aviva, Ramona, Carole and Heather – have only filmed with each other. If there are new housewives, the cast hasn’t met them yet.”
“Bravo has met with several women, one who came close to joining the show, but backed out at the last minute,” the source explains. “For now, I don’t think the right person has popped up.”
But a spare housewife may soon be needed if negotiations with LuAnn fall through. As the countess herself stated, “"They want me back. It’s a matter of negotiating my contract. I brought the franchise to what it is, so I expect to be treated with respect by the network.”
Here’s hoping we get it all – LuAnn’s return and the addition of another housewife or two!
