Can we count on the countess to return for the sixth season of The Real Housewives of New York?

So far it's looking like she won't return, since LuAnn de Lesseps remains the Bravo series' only castmember to reach an agreement in the salary dispute that put the entire cast in danger of being replaced a few weeks ago.

A source tells The Hollywood Reporter that the countess still won't sign a deal that would have her return to the series. But with the production underway, that offer to return is said to be for a less prominent role than the one originally offered.

Last we heard, LuAnn wasn't the only cast member who had failed to reach an agreement. Fellow cast member Aviva Drescher and LuAnn were the only two of the six to decline their deals when negotiations delayed production earlier in May, but Aviva has since reached a deal. On Thursday, Aviva tweeted: "Hey @extratv ! U guys just aired that I am not signed on to #rhony season 6. 4r betr or worse signed on and filming! #masochist. Lol xoxo." Though Aviva signed back, we're not sure how prominently she will be featured in the season.

The rest of the cast — Sonja Morgan, Carole Radziwill, Heather Thomson, and Ramona Singer — all signed back on May 9 after the week-long salary standoff.

Back in season 5, LuAnn and Ramona were the only remaining original housewives, and the countess is one of the more recognizable faces.

She has to return, right darling?
