There was some love lost between Aviva Drescher and Ramona Singer when we last caught up with the Real Housewives of New York at the season five reunion, so it would come as no surprise if relations were still icy between the two castmates now that season six has started shooting.
In fact, the NYC rumor mill is currently abuzz over the fact that Aviva recently skipped out on the recent opening of upscale eatery Brasserie Cognac East to avoid running into Ramona — and Aviva’s former husband, Harry Dubin, who was also present at the bash.
To find out if Aviva did, indeed, intend to snub her co-star and her ex, we went straight to the source.
“The owners of Cognac are Charlotte and Vittorio Assaf,” Aviva shares with Wetpaint Entertainment. “Charlotte is one of my best friends and Vittorio used to work with my father. They’re like family. If I missed the party it was because my entire family had strep throat last week. Cognac is one of my favorite restaurants in the city and I’m so happy they moved uptown. Their filet mignon burger is out of this world.”
“I have no reason to avoid Ramona,” Aviva adds. “I see her all the time and, lately, it’s always been cordial. And Harry and I are completely fine.”
Here that gossip aficionados? It was illness, not insult, that kept Aviva from attending. Glad we cleared that up!
