Fabulous former Real Housewives of New York star Jill Zarin rang in her half-century mark this past weekend so she threw a huge, expensive bash at a VIP hotspot, right? Wrong. Wetpaint Entertainment has the exclusive details on her birthday celebration and we’re told it was, surprisingly, a decidedly low-key affair.
Who knows? Maybe social butterfly Jill is mellowing out these days, but according to a guest at her Nov. 30 party, all she wanted “was to be surrounded by family and close friends at her house in the Hamptons.”
Among those in attendance: Jill’s daughter Ally, husband Bobby and his children and Jill’s sister, Lisa Wexler, Noticeably absent? Any of her former RHONY co-stars. “It really was just family and close friends,” the guest tells Wetpaint Entertainment. “Jill didn’t snub them, it was just a super intimate night. Italian food was brought in and everyone just ate, drank, laughed and relaxed. The next day, Jill and Bobby flew to Miami to attend the Art Basel festival. They love to go and support the artists.”
And instead of jewelry or clothes, Jill’s gift request was simple: the board game Jenga! “She just played for the first time and she’s literally obsessed.”
Jill Zarin: Jenga enthusiast. Who knew!
