Rumors of Ramona Singer’s split from husband of 25 years, Mario Singer, have been greatly exaggerated, says the Real Housewives of New York star. Last month, news broke that the Upper East Side couple had filed for divorce, following Ramona’s discovery of Mario’s infidelity. But now the Bravolebrity is speaking out, and she seems to have hope yet for their troubled marriage.
Ramona appears on her former co-star Bethenny Frankel’s daytime show this week, where she opens up about where things stand with Mario, and what we will be seeing on RHONY this season — which premieres this Tuesday, March 11.
So will we see the relationship between Mario and Ramona fall apart on-camera this season? She says no.
“Well, you’ll see Mario and I together...” Ramona begins, adding later that, “None of this happened until after the show. My situation with my husband didn’t happen until just a couple of weeks ago.”
And lest you worry that Ramona has lost that zest for life that we’ve come to know and love, she assures Bethenny that she’s doing “great.”
“Do you feel like you have a new lease on life? Are you heartbroken? Because I’ve just gone through something too,” the host says, in reference to her own ongoing divorce from Jason Hoppy.
This is where it becomes clear that Ramona is not ready to give up on her long enduring marriage. “No, really right now I don't know where anything is going,” she reveals. “I know my husband loves me, he knows that I love him and we will see what happens. Nothing is written in stone, life is an evolution.”
That’s great news! We’re glad that the pair is really giving it their all — especially for daughter Avery, 19. No matter the outcome, we’re sure she will appreciate her parents really thinking this through and respecting all of the years they had together.
Real Housewives of Atlanta premieres Tuesday, March 11 at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
