It’s been a tough couple of months for Ramona Singer since news broke that her husband of 25 years, Mario, had reportedly stepped outside of their marriage. At first, it appeared that the Real Housewives of New York star was going through with the divorce, but she’s since made it clear that she is still considering reconciliation. And part of that reconsideration period included picking none other than TODAY’s Kathie Lee Gifford’s brain on the matter!

While we’d think Kathie Lee and Ramona as sort of a match made in heaven — two NYC blondes with a penchant for pinot — they’d never crossed paths until recently. However, the Housewife did come up when the Kathie Lee stopped by SiriusXM’s EW Radio for TV Editors Hour this week to chat about her new wine brand. She then revealed that when the two did meet recently, it was a pretty bizarre experience.

“I was out in Los Angeles about a month ago and she came up to me at The Ivy, which is my favorite restaurant out there,” Kathie Lee began, before adding, “I didn’t know who she was!”

So awkward!

“I just said, ‘I’m so sorry,’ and she goes, ‘I’m Ramona from the Housewives.’ I knew the name but I didn’t recognize her. I don’t watch that kind of television, I never have,” she continued.

From there, Kathie Lee recounted, Ramona chatted her up for about 10 minutes near the ladies’ room! What about?

“She wanted to ask me what she should do about her husband’s infidelity,” the host revealed. “I said, ‘You have two choices: You either forgive him, or you kick him out. I can’t decide for you what you do. I don’t know any of the details.’”

It makes sense that Ramona would turn to the morning chatter for such advice — she endured her own cheating scandal with husband Frank Gifford’s affair (the two are still married). But Kathie Lee points out that she was completely unqualified to give the reality star advice on the matter.

“She thought I knew everything! I knew nothing, I just said, ‘I wish you well,’” she explained.

From there, the radio host points out that Ramona probably thought Kathie Lee was watching RHoNY and reading headlines, and would want to weigh in on the situation.

“Probably. You know that’s the trouble with any of us. When I’ve been going through some heavy-duty things… you see your name in the paper or you're on the cover and you’re in the tabloids, you tend to get very small-minded and think that that’s all anybody is talking about or thinking about,” Kathie Lee said.

Oo, girl! Was that a little shady or are we just reading into it?
