Last week, she called herself a “jerk,” but this week she finally used the “s” word.
Real Housewives of New York star Aviva Drescher issued an outright apology last night on her latest Bravo blog for the things she’s said to hurt co-star Sonja Morgan on the show.

Aviva was reacting to a scene between herself and Sonja on Season 5, Episode 16: “What Happens in St. Barts Doesn’t Stay in St. Barts” during which the two re-hashed their major tiffs from the trip to St. Barts. Sonja put it simply then, saying “You called me some nasty names ... I can’t have a friend like that, and I hope you respect that,” but Aviva just defended herself and indicated that she was “duped and betrayed by Ramona [Singer].” She went on to point out Sonja’s “downward spiral” with drinking, which Sonja responded to with “Aviva, I am who I am and I’m not going to apologize for that” before taking off.

According to Aviva, that conversation did not exactly go as planned.

“The scene with Sonja is very painful to watch because what I should have said at that moment was that I cared for her. I missed the opportunity to say that and that I was genuinely sorry that I hurt her,” she wrote.

Think this’ll smooth things out between the gals at long last or is there even more to come from their constant gripes about one another?

The Real Housewives of New York airs Mondays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo.
