Real Housewives of New York star Aviva Drescher is an absolute staple of the show’s drama lately, and Season 5, Episode 17: “Don’t Make Room For Daddy” was no exception.

After one tension-filled brunch with Ramona Singer, during which she Aviva accused Ramona of being an alcoholic based on her behavior during (yes, again) the St. Barts trip, Aviva became the only no-show at Ramona’s charitable fashion show.

Her father, 80-year-old tomcat George, came in her stead with checks for the fundraiser and a message for Ramona: apologize to Aviva for making fun of her phobias!

Needless to say, that didn’t work out so well for George, and he was booted from the party. In turn, he referred to the hostess as a “trailer turd” for her less-than-warm reception.
In her latest Bravo blog, Aviva defends her father’s actions.

According to her, before her mother passed, her father was not so brazen. In fact, he was a hero to her and helped her cope with the conveyer belt accident which cost her her leg.

“My dad had no idea it was a girls-only event. I was supposed to go with him, but at last minute decided to opt out. Suddenly, he found himself in a situation where he felt he had to protect his daughter,” she explained.

The events which followed, she said, were unacceptable.

Ramona should not have had two guards eject my father from her party. It was a vile moment that says more about Ramona's relentless need to be seen in the best light than my father’s behavior,” Aviva wrote. “For the record Ramona's self serving overreaction to my fathers touching her arm was the worst bad acting I have ever seen. I was very surprised that Ramona wouldn't accept my check. This was about a charity, where personal feelings should not get in the way of money given to help those in need.

Given the fact that her last two blogs were very self-deprecating, she must mean business this week!

The Real Housewives of New York airs Mondays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo.
