We love that the The Real Housewives of New York stars have been live tweeting Season 5. We'll never say “No” to extra perspective on all the drama. This week, Aviva Drescher and Luann de Lesseps commented on the way Aviva's good intentions ended up backfiring on Season 5, Episode 5: “The Cool Girls.”
"Obviously I am not a very good peacemaker..." Aviva tweeted, presumably commenting on the way her attempt to smooth over the rift between Heather Thomson and Ramona Singer just wound up pulling her into the center of the drama.
LuAnn was a sympathetic realist about the situation, tweeting, "Sorry @AvivaDrescher that's what happens when you try to help. You gave your best with good intentions."
Aviva seemed grateful for the comment, responding, "@CountessLuAnn thank u!!! What a mess. Xx"
What a mess, indeed. Recently, Aviva apologized for stirring the pot on Season 5, Episode 4: “Diss-Invite,” but also noted the show — or at least her part on it — would be boring if she didn't try to weigh in on the drama somehow. Well, this is what you get when you try to interfere.
Chalk it up to a lesson learned: In the land of the Housewives, trying to help will often just get you hurt. But on the upside, that's what makes for good TV!
