The clash between the old and new castmates on The Real Housewives of New York Season 5 has already gotten plenty of attention, and in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, new face Aviva Drescher may have hit the nail on the head: The new girls think of this whole reality show thing as kind of a joke.

Managing to poke fun at two of the original cast members at once, Aviva says, “I’m going to do a song called ‘Ramoniac’ — to the tune of ‘Maniac’ from Flashdance.” She's referring to Ramona Singer’s new nickname, and she also seems to be mocking LuAnn de Lesseps’s recent proposal (on Season 5, Episode 6: "I'm UK, You're UK") to record a gangsta rap song about new girl Heather Thomson.

Aviva admits, “I really don’t take this very seriously. I don’t think Carole [Radziwill], Heather or myself take this gig seriously at all.” That may sound mature and refreshing to some, and blasphemous to others.

On one hand, some viewers are tiring of all the allegedly staged situations on Real Housewives shows. But Bravo can’t be pleased to hear one of its shining stars wax unenthusiastic about her own show.

The Real Housewives of New York airs Mondays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo.
