The blogs written by the cast members of Real Housewives are often treated like scripture by zealous fans of the franchise, often used to fuel hatred or love for a particular castmate. However, how real are the Real Housewives blogs, if you know what we’re sayin’?

It turns out: pretty real! Real Housewives of New York cast member Carole Radziwill revealed earlier this week that the Magic Elves who run the BravoTV.com site aren’t allowed to change “a word” from her blogs without her permission. That means that when you read Carole’s blogs you are reading 100% Carole.

However, other Housewives have been vocal about not getting the same treatment. Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss revealed earlier this year that she has stopped blogging for BravoTV.com because she felt that they over-edited her blogs and removed key information to paint her a certain way. While that’s a pretty strong accusation, Carole’s tweet about the site not being allowed to even edit her blogs might show that the network has learned their lesson. (Or that they let Carole, a professional writer, go un-edited.)

Whatever the case, it sounds like the original blog posts that are being submitted to BravoTV.com are actually coming from the women themselves, and are not penned by some unnamed Bravo intern.

The Real Housewives of New York airs Mondays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo.
