As Hurricane Sandy swept across New York City on Monday night (October 29), The Real Housewives of New York stars kept their fans alerted as to their welfare, and the status of their various homes on the East Coast. But only one of the Season 5 stars lives downtown, where nearly every apartment south of 34th Street lost power: Carole Radziwill.

How did the downtown diva survive the storm?

As we reported recently, Carole had tweeted her excitement in anticipation of Sandy, which may have been interpreted as insensitive by those who were about to lose everything. But since the hurricane hit, Carole has been less active on Twitter, most likely due to the fact that she has no power.

When co-star Heather Thomson tweeted her well wishes, Carole tweeted, “Thx. All Good. Disasters are my sweet spot. #noworries.” And when a fan warned her to stay away from toxic puddles, Carole replied, “Very good advice, Remember that scene in The Ice Storm. Nightmare. Stay out the puddles.”

Other than that, Carole was busy planning her social schedule and retweeting photos of her and her friends — all without any electricity! After finding out about an event, Carole tweeted at her friend, “I wasn't aware of art show. I will be there. Xx.” And she retweeted the above photo, showing a very relaxed Carole with a girlfriend.

We’re impressed with the RHONY star. Not even a historic hurricane can slow her down!
