In the preview for her upcoming Watch What Happens Live appearance on October 15 (which was actually pre-taped on Oct. 8), former Real Housewives of New York star Jill Zarin is seen being asked if she pays for her Twitter followers by host Andy Cohen. Replying, “Are you kidding me?,” Jill appears shocked.

But according to a show insider, she shouldn’t be. “For a long time now, everyone involved with the show has suspected Jill buys her followers,” the insider tells Wetpaint Entertainment. “Her numbers don’t make any sense.”

“When the show ended and she was let go, she had around 250,000,” the insider continues. “Then suddenly, two months later, that number doubled. And these days, she’s got nearly 100,000 more…and she’s not even on TV! No one believes it happened organically. Everyone thinks she paid for them.”

“Listen, she’s not the first reality star to do it and she won’t be the last,” the insider adds. “But it’s something people on the show are suspicious of. Andy finally confronted her about it to get the issue on the table. Did he expect her to admit it? No. But I think he wanted her to know that people are onto her.”

The Real Housewives of New York Season 5 Reunion: Part 2 airs on Monday, October 15 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo. Jill’s WWHL episode will air at 11 p.m. on the same night.
