The Real Housewives of New York Season 5 went from dramatic to insane as soon as the women took off on a "girls trip" to St. Barts. The vacay was so jam-packed with scandals and fights that it took three whole episodes to cover. And, of course, the biggest drama was between Aviva Drescher and the unbreakable duo, Ramona Singer and Sonja Morgan.
Therefore, when Wetpaint Entertainment had a chance to catch up with Ramona at OK! Magazine’s 4th Annual Fashion Week Celebration on September 10, we had to ask her about Aviva and the infamous trip. True to form, the always-honest Housewife didn't hold back.
Wetpaint Entertainment: We hear you and Aviva aren't really speaking anymore. At least, that's what she says.
Ramona Singer: We're cordial. I mean, I'm cordial.
Oh, that's nice to hear.
You know, I mean, the bottom line is — you'll see as the episodes progress — is she basically became — she became a mean girl towards me. And you know what? What can I say? I can't change someone, and I just think maybe — I don't know what happened to her. I don't know what happened.
There was a bit of a personality shift.
Oh, you have no idea. You have no idea what's coming.
What about you and Heather [Thomson]?
Oh, Heather and I! Actually, we talk to each other, we text each other. We actually bonded, as Sonja said, when she broke her nose in the [door] pane. We get along fine. I mean, I really get along with everyone. And I really never had a problem with Aviva. She had a problem with me, which I really don't think was justified. So it's her problem, not my problem.
How do you think St. Barts compares to the Scary Island trip?
Oh I think with Aviva — you know, Kelly [Bensimon] only had one little incident, and then she left the island. Aviva had multiple incidents on the island. You'll see one [on Season 5, Episode 15: “Vacation, All I Never Wanted”] where she goes after me for no reason. And when I come back to New York there's going to be a scene between her and I that when I left the table, my hands were shaking.
So I think [St. Barts] was worse, because actually we had more fun on Scary Island. Because as soon as [Aviva] came, it brought everything down. No one had fun anymore.
Is there anything from this season you regret doing or saying?
No. I own everything I do.
The Real Housewives of New York airs Mondays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo.
