Ramona Singer turned out to be a major player in the premiere of The Real Housewives of New York Season 5 (Season 5, Episode 1: “A New New York”). As she told us in an exclusive interview with Wetpaint Entertainment, she tried to get along with all the new girls. Unfortunately, as Ramona writes in her blog for Bravo, it turned out that fellow original cast member LuAnn de Lesseps would be the source of much of her drama.
In the premiere, LuAnn makes a dramatic appearance at the new girls’ lunch one day, and breathlessly describes a phone call she received from Ramona in the middle of the night. LuAnn alleged that Ramona threatened her, telling LuAnn that she “knows things” about her kids, and would “tell the world” if LuAnn kept demanding an apology from her.
In Ramona’s blog, she addresses LuAnn’s claim as follows:
Why LuAnn would fabricate that I threatened her is beyond me. As far as an apology, I gave one last year, after we filmed the reunion and in the press. How many times more do I need to? LuAnn is LuAnn and she tends to forget how passive aggressive she has been with me in the past. More importantly, why would LuAnn share this at lunch with women we all just recently met?
Essentially, Ramona is calling LuAnn a big liar. Who do you believe? Take our poll here, and tell us if you’re on Team Ramona or Team LuAnn.
