On last night’s premiere of The Real Housewives of New York Season 5 (Season 5, Episode 1: “A New New York”), the very sexy Sonja Morgan did what she does best: threw a party at her townhouse. But upon meeting new girl Aviva Drescher, Sonja’s history with Aviva’s ex-husband Harry Dubin came up, and seemed to cause some tension. So what exactly is the story? Did Sonja and Harry used to hook up? Did LuAnn de Lesseps date him too?

Wetpaint Entertainment spoke to Sonja in an exclusive interview at Serafina restaurant on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, and we got the whole scoop.

Wetpaint Entertainment: Did your friendship with Harry complicate your friendship with Aviva, since you are so close to her ex-husband?
Sonja Morgan: Harry’s not complicated, he’s fantastic. He’s here tonight with his girlfriend Georgia. I go on dates with him and sometimes we’ll bring Georgia. I mean, it’s not complicated. I love Harry. He’s one of the most fabulous guys you’ll ever meet. Some people have issues where they say things that are really … I don’t know why they do that. He’s fantastic though, he’s a really good dad. He’s honest, he’s dependable, a lot of fun. Ramona [Singer] and I love him. I’ve been friends with him for almost three decades. I met him in Washington on a date ages ago, and I introduce him to all my girlfriends. I introduced him to LuAnn, and they had a couple of dances. Who doesn’t want to dance with Harry?

So there you have it! Harry has dated both Sonja and “danced with” LuAnn a couple of times, and he currently has a new girlfriend. In some ways, we sympathize with Aviva for being nervous. We’re not sure we’d want our ex’s sexual history detailed on TV, especially if we had a son together, as they do.

Should Sonja just keep Harry out of the picture while she’s filming with Aviva? Or should Aviva just get over it? Share your thoughts in the comments!
