There were several passive aggressive insults hurled across the beautiful Curve boutique on last night’s The Real Housewives of New York (Season 5, Episode 5: “The Cool Girls”). But one of the most forceful exchanges occurred between Ramona Singer and Heather Thomson in an unofficial Style Battle.

Heather was the first one to draw blood, sort of, when she suggested to her friend (the owner of Curve) that Ramona should get a makeover. Ramona was immediately horrified and defensive, voicing just how offended she was by the term “makeover.” That’s when both ladies took to the confessionals to insult each other’s fashion sense.

Heather said that Ramona was in a “rut” when it comes to style, even if she has the whole “satin, strapless” look down. So Heather suggested that Ramona try on clothes that fit a more “downtown” aesthetic. Ramona behaved well at first, but then she started turning away from everyone’s suggested furs and dresses as if their mere proximity might make her ill.

Of course, Ramona had her own opinion of Heather’s fashion sense. In a confessional, she said, “Heather is supposed to be in the so-called ‘fashion’ business,” before dishing that she disliked Curve and Heather’s personal style. Ramona cited Heather’s pointy boots as an example of her poor taste.

Frankly, we saw enough fur-and-leather combos to make us give up shopping for good. But the question must be asked: Who has better style? Ramona or Heather?

The Real Housewives of New York airs Mondays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo.
