In case there wasn’t enough drama for you on last night’s The Real Housewives of New York Season 5 finale (Season 5, Episode 18: “All’s Well That Doesn’t End Well”), there’s a new mystery surrounding a possible Season 6. Who has, or hasn’t, been asked back?

Yesterday (October 1), HollywoodLife reported that RHONY Season 6 was confirmed and “definitely happening.” They also quoted a source, who said that Sonja Morgan had already “signed on” to return for the next season.

But today’s New York Daily News reports that all of the above information is “not true.” Their source says that “none of the women, including Morgan, have even been given offers. ‘No one has even received pickup letters yet.’”

Bravo gave the NYDN a similar statement to the one obtained by HollywoodLife: “Nothing has been officially decided yet about a sixth season.” So who should we believe?

We think it’s safe to say that Bravo will continue with the RHONY franchise and move forward with Season 6. As we pointed out yesterday, the drama really picked up as the new characters (mainly Aviva Drescher) got the hang of zingers and promo-ready one-liners, such as the “white trash, quite frankly” line Aviva nailed in St. Barts. Plus, Ramona Singer is a seemingly endless, one-woman parade of entertainment.

As far as who’s signed on, we’ll stick with Bravo on this one. After all, things may change after the Reunion episode (Season 5 Reunion Part 1, airing October 8)!

The Real Housewives of New York Season 5 Reunion airs on Monday, October 8 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo.
