Real Housewives of New York already had a major cast shakeup going into Season 5. Could there be another cast change in the works for Season 6?

A source told the New York Daily News that there are some new murmurs that the major cast switch-out which occurred for Season 5 might not have been enough; more may be planned for next season. According to the source, the not-so-good recent ratings for RHONY  have “not been what [Bravo] expected” and there’s some current talk of “potentially jiggling” up the cast again.

For this season, of course, only half of the Season 4 RHONY cast returned, with Jill Zarin, Kelly Bensimon, and Alex McCord being replaced by Carole Radziwill, Aviva Drescher, and Heather Thomson. The three returnees were Sonja Morgan, Ramona Singer, and LuAnn de Lesseps.

So, of the six current castmates, who could be getting the ax from Bravo next? There's no telling at this time. Reportedly, the show itself is “safe” from cancellation, and a spokesperson from Bravo indicated that “it is much too early to even think about next season” and that the network is “thrilled with the cast.” So the rumors might be totally off.

Any predictions about the potential shake-up?
