The ladies insult each other and eat poultry on this week's Real Housewives of Orange County Season 9, Episode 3. It's recap time, so adjust your chandelier, throw on an ugly sweater, and snack on some chicken balls.

What a Pill

The episode picks up where last week's left off, as Shannon Beador’s incredibly awkward dinner party continues. The tension revs up as Heather Dubrow accuses Vicki Gunvalson of interrupting Shannon’s story, but Vicki snaps back, saying she wasn’t interrupting. And we must say, we kinda love hearing Tamra call Terry out for being a Porsche-owning prick. Too funny!

The guests tour Shannon’s home, and everyone hits the basketball court  everyone except for Heather, that is. Tamra pours gigantic shots for herself and Shannon and then takes a party-smart pill  whatever that is  but Heather is annoyed when Tamra calls it a morning after pill. Then, Heather overhears Tamra and Vicki talking about how she can’t have fun and needs to take the stick out of her you-know-what. Yikes.

Heather is feeling left out and decides to leave early, but the rest of the ladies have an impromptu tea party in Shannon’s daughter’s secret room. Then, as Eddie and Tamra are leaving, he tells her that Heather approached him about their procreation discussion, and Eddie isn’t pleased about this. Vicki then warns Tamra that she’ll lose in a fight with Heather. Who knew that Tamra could ever lose a fight?

Fowl Behavior

Vicki stays busy this week. First, she has a sit-down with Briana, during which she tells Briana that Brooks never abused her and that they’re getting back together. Clearly, Briana isn’t thrilled. Then, Vicki invites the ladies over for Fakes-giving dinner, although Vic apparently hasn’t started prepping in time, so Tamra and Shannon get roped into helping with the food — and watching Troy. Hope everyone like giblets!

At this point, Heather hasn’t spoken to Tamra or Vicki in quite some time, so Tamra calls her after the holiday. They meet for lunch, where Tamra tells Heather that she corrects other people too often. And Heather says she feels that the ladies ignore her and don’t accept her for who she is. Finally, the two seem to resolve things, and Tamra pulls out a bunch of ugly sweaters that they’re going to wear to a party thrown by cast newbie Danielle Gregorio. We can’t wait to see them in those!

Our Overall Thoughts

We love it when the show’s three returning ladies are on good terms, so we’re proud of Heather and Tamra for calmly hashing out their issues. Let's hope their truce can continue. But we still expect plenty of drama to come down the pike, as Tamra and Danielle are rumored to be getting into a huge fight soon.

As for Shannon and David, we got a better sense of their relationship this week, and they do seem to truly love each other. Still, there are definitely tense moments between them, so we don’t blame Tamra and Vicki for wanting the couple to perhaps talk to a counselor.

Now, we can’t wait for next week, as we get to meet another newbie, Lizzie Rovsek. Plus, Brooks is back, which is always good for some drama. Now, if anyone needs us, we’ll be playing around with our chandelier. (Fine, we’ll admit it — we don’t actually have a chandelier! We were just trying to impress you. Happy now?!)
