Shannon and David’s Romantic Escape

In tonight’s episode, newbie Shannon Beador and her hubby David decided to escape the day-to-day and spend the night in a romantic hotel just a few minutes from home. Although it was right down the road, it gave the two a chance to connect without their kids around — which basically meant David tried to get laid the whole time.

This pair’s relationship has already been revealed to be a rocky one (after just a few episodes), so Shannon used this trip as a chance to “get to know” her husband better — but it proved tough for David to stop joking around. The awkwardness was through the roof all evening, almost excruciatingly.

Over dinner, David jokingly urged Shannon to get a boob job while she fired back that she would after he got a penis enlargement and later just said that it would send the wrong message to their daughters. Truth be told, this was not your average dinner conversation.

After dinner, David showed off his romantic side by having the hotel drenched in white rose petals for when they got back from dinner. It was basically the cutest thing we could have imagined — that is, until they crawled in bed. Before attempting to get intimate, Shannon decided that she needed to be more drunk to follow through.

Vicki and Brooks, Part Deux!

While most of the girls were off having fun, we found Vicki Gunvalson hanging out in her office — what a bummer. Homegirl is working a late night and meeting up with a designer to try to make the space a little more fabulous, as it is her second home. When one of her workers reveals that the receptionist falls asleep because the area is a little dark and depressing. This upsets Vicki and makes her give us our new catchphrase: “FML. Frick my life.”

Later on, instead of heading to the ugly Christmas sweater party with the rest of the girls, Vicki meets up with Brooks Ayers for a dinner date. Brooks promises to “fill up her tank” even though Briana Wolfsmith-Culberson and Vicki’s friends don’t approve of him. It really seems as though Brooks wants to show everyone how sorry he is and move on from the past, but we’ll have to see if anyone will be willing to give him that.

The amount of flirting that goes on between these two at dinner is quite palpable.

Don’t Take a Sweater at Face-Value

The rest of the episode focused on Danielle Gregorio’s ugly Christmas sweater party. It turns out Danielle is friends with both Tamra Barney and newcomer Lizzie Rovsek, so that’s how they meet up.

On the way to the party, Tamra and Heather Dubrow told their respective husbands about their lunch date the week before when they hashed out their issues — and neither lady seemed totally into the whole ugly sweater party idea. In fact, Tamra reveals that she would rather have a “pretty sweater party.” That being said, we love that Heather and her husband, Terry, wore matching sweaters to the party (later snagging them an award).

At the party, we’re finally introduced to Lizzie — a pretty gal with an brain as big as her bust size. It turns out Eddie remembers Lizzie from CUT Fitness and it turns out she lives in the same neighborhood as Tamra. We later learn how Lizzie met her husband, Christian, and it’s pretty adorable. We agree that she is the “total package.”

After a minor tiff over what Tamra considered a big word, it seems as though we’re not done with the drama between her and Heather. It was pretty icey. But what was even more cold was the conversation Tamra and Eddie shared while out to dinner at the end of the episode. The two discussed having a child together and Eddie — who wasn’t wearing his wedding ring — said that if he agreed to this, he would expect Tamra to do most of the work. We’re not OK with this.
