Being the new girl can be pretty tough — and nobody knows that better than Lizzie Rovsek, a newbie on The Real Housewives of Orange County. The brunette beauty joined the show for Season 9 and has definitely been put through the ringer, but, according to Lizzie, you haven’t seen anything yet. As per usual, it seems as though the reunion special dealt some real drama, but was it enough to drive Lizzie away from the show?
“It was a very long day and, for the most part, it was pretty good,” Lizzie dished to Wetpaint Entertainment about filming the reunion. “It went below the belt a little bit. A little emotional. It got to some real trashy levels that I really don’t care for. I don’t need that in my life. But other than that it was good. I’m proud that I was true to myself and I was strong and not afraid or ashamed to show a little vulnerability.”
But the drama with the ladies wasn’t the only chaos on the big day. Lizzie goes on to reveal that she had to make a last-minute wardrobe changes because Bravo wouldn’t let her wear her custom Walter Collection emerald dress. “They wanted me to wear a different dress,” Lizzie said. “And that was decided on reunion day. It was a shock to me.”
As for who gave Lizzie advice about how to handle herself at the reunion? That would be her fans! The 34-year-old fashion designer revealed that keeping in touch with her fans throughout the season has been a big priority for her. “You’re not a JLo superstar, you’re a real person and your fans are real people and they want to be able to relate to and resonate with you.”
Lizzie admitted that while she knew she’d be putting her life on display for the world to see, the show was “beyond levels of drama” that she’d ever experienced.” So, does that mean she’d want to return for another season if Bravo asked her back?
“Maybe,” Lizzie answered. “There’s definitely some factors that I would definitely have to look at. But we had fun and we’ll see what the future holds. I think everyone needs a break after that reunion to step back and reflect and see it in a different light.”
