From Jon & Kate Plus 8 to supersizing fries — has Jon Gosselin hit rock bottom?
Okay, okay, so he’s not working in fast food but, according to E! Online’s coverage of his interview with Entertainment Tonight, the oncee huge reality star is now waiting tables at Black Dog restaurant in Beckersville, PA. As for that whole rock bottom part, he says it’s not that far off. In fact, the father to eight kids said he’s actually hit rock bottom “about 20 times” since his split with Kate in 2009. “I just bounce back and go somewhere else,” he explained.
While he is a server now, Jon says people shouldn’t be so quick to assume that he’s not making ends meet. He wouldn’t comment, however, on whether he made millions of dollars during his run on the show. “I don’t like to talk about money,” he said.
Waiting tables probably wasn’t Jon’s first choice, but the young father said it was “impossible” to find work after the show. It may seem like he's struggling after his quick rise and fall, but Jon insists that he has no regrets about doing the show in the first place. “You learn from your mistakes," he said. "That’s what builds you to who you are today.”
As for those seemingly frequent trips to Sin City Jon made back in the day, he says that it was all “contracted” to help him pay his legal fees. “I was living the high life because everyone was paying for it,” he said. Jon also made sure to clarify that he hasn’t exactly given up his partying ways, but says that instead, “I [party] now on a different level."
While it's interesting to see where Jon is now — working in the scrub just like the rest of us — it does leave us with a ton of leftover questions. Does he still see his kids? How often? How is his relationship with Kate? So many questions, so little time.
Did you watch the show? What do you think of Jon’s new profession?
