It’s only been a few months since Abby Lee Miller’s voice bellowed through our living rooms, yet for some reason it’s felt like ages. But we don’t have to wait much longer because America’s most, uh, vocal dance instructor is back next month, along with the rest of her talented dance company and, of course, those dedicated stage moms. Season 4 of Lifetime’s Dance Moms premieres on New Year’s Day and now we have a tease for what’s in store.
Just last week, the show’s Facebook page released a fun promo for the new season, spoofing on the iconic 1985 pencil-sketch music video for Aha’s “Take on Me.” In it, we see Abby “take on” (haha, get it!) the moms of Maddie, Chloe, Nia and the rest of the pint-sized dance company. And they’ve all never looked better! The end especially had us cracking up, with Abby trapping the matriarchs in a dance-themed comic book. Very clever, Lifetime!
Despite the new season being just weeks away, producers were still holding castings looking for new dancers to join the team up until last week. So if there are new primary cast members for this season, we’re going to just have to wait until January to find out.
One thing we can plan for is a reunion special entitled Guess Who’s Coming to the Dance? that will air right before the premiere at 8 p.m. ET. In the episode, we get to see the moms rehash last season’s drama with Abby, we’ll find out what the girls have been up to in the last few months, and we’ll even be treated to some never-before-seen performances! Sounds like it’s a must-see.
You can see the Season 4 premiere of Dance Moms on Lifetime January 1 at 9 p.m. ET.
