New Mob Wives cast member Alicia DiMichele Garofalo isn’t too nervous about her reality television debut, especially considering what else she has to deal with in the next few months.
The Mob Wives star was recently arrested for fraud and embezzlement related to a trucking company she ran with her husband, Edward “The Tall Guy” Garofalo. While Edward is already behind bars for the couple’s crimes, Alicia’s hearing has been scheduled for January 6.
“I’ve already plead guilty to embezzlement last year, so I’m actually just waiting for the judge to sentence me, so that’s what’s going to happen on that day,” Alicia said in an interview with RadarOnline.com.
When asked if she was nervous about potentially spending time in jail, Alicia said that all she could do was think positively.
“I am very nervous,” she said. “But I’m a very positive person and I’m just thinking completely positive and I don’t even let my mind go towards the negative side. I put everything in god’s hands and I have faith and I’m hoping that it’ll all work out for the best and that I’m not taken away from my children.”
Alicia, who already plead guilty to the charges of embezzlement, is now waiting to see how much time she’ll have to spend locked up.
“How it works, my guidelines are 0-6 months in jail, but the government will not oppose if she [the judge] decides to give me house arrest,” Alicia said. “But the reality is the judge could give me whatever she feels. If she feels I deserve two years, she could give me that.”
Faced with the prospect of actually staying in the slammer, Alicia says its hard not to feel some anxiety.
“I suffered some severe anxiety as a child, like my whole life, so the thought of that alone and even when I go on visits, it’s really hard for me to comprehend,” she said. “I know if I have to [serve time], I’ll be fine, but I just still don’t like to go there in my mind.”
