“I don’t need any f—ing new friends from Philly,” Big Ang said in the premiere of Mob Wives: New Blood just a month ago. But it looks like her fellow OG Mob Wife Drita D’Avanzo is of a different mind. As we see in a sneak peek for tonight’s (January 2) episode, she and newbie Alicia DiMichele are growing close over one common thread: their (current and formerly) jailed hubbies.

Sure, it’s a little heavy subject matter-wise, but whatever works! The clip shows us that it’s actually a love for fashion that initially brings the two ladies together, with Alicia joining Drita during one of her shopping trips. As we know already, Alicia has her own boutiques down in Philly, while Drita has her cosmetics store in Staten Island. Instantly, the girls begin bonding as businesswomen.

“I’m thankful, because if I didn’t have those stores, I wouldn’t be able to survive financially,” Alicia first admits to Drita. “If I didn’t have them, I’m left for dead.. what do you do?”

“I know!” Drita concurs, adding “when Lee went to jail, I had to sell my house. I sell everything: the house, the cars, my businesses. And I’m like eight weeks pregnant, and I’m like ‘Did this really just happen? Like, I have nothing.’”

Sounds familiar! Alicia vents about her similar situation: “People say, how are you happy, how are you doing that? Well, what are you going to do? You’re either going to succeed, because you have no choice, or you’re going to lay down and die.” All the while, Drita is nodding along in recognition. She gets it!

Looks like Alicia might have a bit of a mentor in Drita. It’s not easy to be left to deal with the mess after your husband is sent away, and Drita has been through it all.

“Being in the situation Alicia and I have been in is the reason we have stores and we hustle,” she tells us. “Because when your husband gets arrested, it makes you have to be a stronger woman. Either that, or you crumble, and we both decided not to.” Strong women unite!

And while Drita and Alicia are growing together, tonight also sees Natalie Guercio and Renee Graziano splitting apart — and it’s not going to happen peacefully. It’s sure to be a doozy!

Tune in for all of the drama on Mob Wives: New Blood tonight (January 2) at 10 p.m. ET on VH1.
