If you’re a fan of Dance Moms, you’re used to watching dance coach Abby Lee Miller square off against angry moms. However, it sounds like one such conflict may have become physical — because dance mom Kelly Hyland was booked back in November for allegedly assaulting Abby!
Kelly and Abby have had plenty of heated verbal exchanges in the past, as fans of the show can attest, but we’re pretty sure this is the first time it’s escalated to anything physical. As TMZ reports, Kelly was arrested for assault and harassment toward the Abby Lee Dance Company owner. It all went down way back in November but the news is just breaking now.
As for what precipitated the alleged altercation, it’s basically what you’d expect. Kelly, upset that Abby was not properly recognizing her children’s talents, reportedly made her feelings known in a less than constructive manner.
According to eyewitnesses, “Kelly began screaming at Abby and then Kelly allegedly grabbed Abby’s hair and it became a full-on cat fight.” Yikes on bikes!
Kelly has yet to be formally charged with a crime, but you won’t need to be a juror to find out exactly what went on. We’re told cameras were rolling as the drama unfolded because obviously. Pop that corn, kids — this should be good.
