It’s officially summer time, and that means we’re getting closer to the Season 2 premiere of our warm weather guilty pleasure — Lifetime’s Bring It!

The reality show’s sophomore season formally kicks off on July 23 at 9 p.m. ET, and we highly recommend you check it out if you haven’t already. The show, which follows Coach Dianna Williams (aka "Miss D") and her Dancing Dolls, bills itself as a program which aims to shine a spotlight on the elite world of hip-hop majorette competitions, and trust us when we tell you that it does that and so much more.

Miss D and her Dolls refuse to lose, and we tune in each week to watch the gals push themselves to their absolute limit in an effort to come out on top. As can be expected, there are both triumphs and struggles in this intensely competitive world, but no-nonsense Miss D makes it clear that she tolerates nothing less than a win. Yikes!

Don't miss the episode.

So who is this tough coach demanding only the best from her troupe?

Miss D may be difficult to please, but the former dancer has more than earned her right to demand a lot of the young girls she coaches. Among her many, many accolades, Miss D was a member of the Eye of the Tiger Drill Team from 1982-88, a member of the Dancing Dolls Drill Team 1989-91, and  Captain of the California State Dominguez Hills University Cheerleading Squad from 1997-98. She is also the Instructor/ Sponsor/ Choreographer of the Dancing Dolls Dance Team, which was established on August 20, 2001 at Pied Piper Playhouse.

Miss D graduated from Jackson State University in May 2005 and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice. She is a former employee of the City of Jackson Mississippi, where she worked as a Recreation Aide and the Dance Instructor for the entire North side of Jackson, thus inspiring her to teach even more people about the art form she loves. She began to build the Dance program at Grove Park in August of 2002, but her greatest achievement in dance is Dancing Dolls, LLC.

Per the Lifetime website, “Dancing Dolls have grown to become a powerhouse organization that not only develops great dance techniques but great leaders and wonderful young entrepreneurs.”

Miss D also opened a dance studio of her very own in the heart of Jackson, Ms named Dollhouse Dance Factory, and the studio continues to thrive today.

Miss D may be all about dance, but she also strives to make sure that the young people she teaches grow into honorable, educated people who always respect themselves and others.
