While most of us would hide in shame after finding out that our husband and the father of our children had cheated on us, Tori Spelling is taking the opposite approach: She’s putting it all out there in a new Lifetime docuseries, True Tori. Leading up to the show’s premiere, she’s being very candid in her first interview since finding out that hubby Dean McDermott cheated on her.
"He was my soulmate, but he completely broke my heart," Tori admits to Us Weekly about her husband’s affair with a 28-year-old. “It makes you not trust anything that's happened in your relationship."
The couple, who share four children ranging in ages 20 months to 7 years, actually began their relationship in a scandalous manner — Dean was still married when they first got involved. And though Tori had been open about her fear that her man might do the same thing to her, sadly, Dean fit that “once a cheater, always a cheater” mold.
Now, the Beverly Hills, 90210 alum is taking her heartbreak to the small screen with True Tori premiering on April 22. Before we learn more about her in the reality series, however, we can also delve into her Us interview, which covers why she is opening up her life to audiences, the moment she confronted her husband about his affair, and why she isn’t giving up yet on their relationship. "I feel so judged, but it's not black and white," she tells the magazine.
