Patrick is a costume designer and director who was born in Greece and raised in Paris (translation: swoon). The hostess with the mostess announced her engagement by way Facebook. McKenzie posted a photo of the couple celebrating Christmas together and standing in front of a brightly-lit tree.
Plenty of couples meet at work, and there’s no doubt that it has the potential to turn into a very awkward situation. (See: The Vampire Diaries co-stars Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder, whose characters started locking lips on-screen just about the time they were breaking up in real life. Both actors will admit the entire situation is more than awkward.)
But for every Ian and Nina scenario, there’s an Alyson Hannigan and Alexis Denisof, who met while co-starring in Buffy the Vampire Slayer and have been married for 10 years.
Now it looks like these two sci-fi makeup experts will be getting their own Buffyverse-style happy ending. Congrats to Patrick and McKenzie on their engagement!
