Andy Cohen Producing New Reality Show, I Slept With a Celebrity (UPDATE)
Don’t get too excited yet people — looks like Andy Cohen does not have his hands in this juicy new project. The WWHL host allowed the buzz to spread for nearly a week before he cleared things up, but he finally took to Twitter on June 9 to shoot down the rumors.
“All the jokes have been v funny but I am actually NOT producing this show everybody! #IDidntSleepWithACeleb,” Andy quipped on the social media platform.
Looks like his good relationship with those A-List guests on his late night show will be safe for the foreseeable future. Probably a good move, actually.
Original story (6/4/2014):
You know those stories, where someone’s friend’s cousin’s roommate (or whatever) supposedly made out with Zac Efron once? It’s definitely juicy gossip, but rarely ever verified. Well, Andy Cohen is now tapping into that fascination by shopping around his half-hour weekly unscripted series, I Slept With a Celebrity.
The show, for which Andy would act as executive producer, is currently in development and looking for a network home. The set up? Each episode will introduce two guests, willing to open up about their intimate brush with fame — re: the night they totally did it with a famous person.
The Hollywood Reporter adds the guests will describe “where they met, where they went and what they wore — or didn't.”
Andy currently has a first-look deal with NBCUniversal, aka his home network for Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live, so the network will get the first peek at the in-the-works reality show. But speaking of WWHL, we have to wonder how these juicy tell-alls will affect the host’s burgeoning roster of celebrity guests. Will they still stop by the clubhouse after having their dirty laundry spilled on I Slept With a Celebrity? Time will tell…
