Reality Steve Names the Worst Bachelor and Bachelorette of All Time
Since ABC gave us a break between episodes 4 and 5 of The Bachelorette, we’re going through major withdrawal from Andi Dorfman and her men. To stop the hyperventilating and get our much-needed love fix, we thought we’d re-read some of our favorite Reality Steve blogs from yesteryear. One that grabbed our attention? Back in February, during Juan Pablo Galavis’s widely hated season, one reader asked Steve to pick the worst Bachelor and Bachelorette of all time. So who’d our favorite controversial spoiler king name?
According to RS, the title of worst Bachelor goes to… Prince Lorenzo Borghese. Steve didn’t give his reason for calling out el prince, but it appears the Italian’s fat stacks of cash and dashing good looks did little to impress the snappy blogger who, in earlier blogs, made fun of the royal’s lack of humor. Prince Lo was the object of 27 women’s affection during Season 9, which took place almost entirely in Rome. The royal picked Jennifer Wilson, but they broke up shortly after the show aired. Steve may not have enjoyed the prince’s performance, but he has a new reality show, Lucky Bastards, so someone thought Lorenzo was good on TV.
As for which Bachelorette Steve dubbed worst of all female leads, that title goes to Jen Schefft. Jen won Andrew Firestone’s Season 3 of The Bachelor, but their love just wasn’t meant to be. Jen went on to be the third Bachelorette and chose… no one. Well, actually, she gave the rose to Jerry Ferris but told him not to dare get down on bended knee and propose. They dated for a while and broke up when she rejected his second proposal during the After the Final Rose special. Again, Reality Steve gives no indication why he thinks Jen gets the worst Bachette of all time title, but we’re guessing it’s because she pulled a Brad Womack in the end...
