(Never mind those ratings — those of us who actually tuned in enjoyed the two-hour debut episode, anyway!)
And tonight promises to be another great night on the show, as the auditions continue in Austin and move on to San Francisco. We're seeing more exuberance, more tears, more wackiness, and more Harry Connick Jr. charm.
8:03 p.m. ET: We're rejoining auditions in Austin, Texas — where we left off last night. Jennifer, what is up with that cropped denim top?
8:05 p.m. ET: We disagree with Jen on her fashion choices but totally agree on Jesse Roach — we really like her! She looks like Katy Perry, and she has a good story.
8:14 p.m. ET: Why would they do this to us and split up a brother and sister?!
8:16 p.m. ET: Megan Miller, we like you! A lot! Don't worry, when the judges start giving you a lot of feedback (even if it's not all good), that means you're either really talented or you're a miserable singer. And in this case, you're going to Hollywood!
9:02 p.m. ET: You know how the judges were talking about when potential contestants come in and they have voices that don't match the way they look? Rachel Rolleri is one of them — and we love her!
9:06 p.m. ET: Remi Wolf totally has this Lorde thing going on. Is the world ready for another Lorde?
9:07 p.m. ET: "Don't start crying, because then I'll cry, and I'll have to fix my makeup." "Or someone will." Keith Urban's got jokes!
9:16 p.m. ET: Caitlin Johnson, there is no way you are really fifteen. This isn't fair. We did not look like this at fifteen. At fifteen, we were braiding our hair and copying Lizzie McGuire's outfits.
9:32 p.m. ET: What is with the sibling drama tonight? You cannot keep upsetting us this way. So who's going to Hollywood? Sierra or Selena? UGH, stop it, strategically placed commercial breaks!
9:40 p.m. ET: Selena's in, and Sierra's out. And Selena's the one crying because her sister didn't get it. So sweet!
