American Idol 2014 Recap: Auditions Night 4 — January 23, 2014 (VIDEOS)
After Detroit blew us away last night with its Motown vibes, American Idol 2014 — aka Season 13 — heads to Atlanta for the next round of auditions, and we have a feeling A-Town is gonna bring the action!
We may have already met America's 13th Idol, though — the cities auditioned so far have put up some worthy competition!
But we're keeping our minds open because we're sure some aspiring Idols are gonna put the "hot" in Hotlanta in this round of tryouts. Jennifer, Keith, and Harry best be prepared!
8:02 p.m. ET: So adorable that Ryan stays with his mom when he's in his hometown! That opening video montage was so perfect.
8:07 p.m. ET: Harry and Keith totally switched seats, and it's tripping us up. Okay, sorry, carry on with your Idol viewing.
8:17 p.m. ET: Kristen O'Connor is the cutest nurse we've ever seen. And, as most other would-be contestants have done this season, she didn't forget the requisite hug from J.Lo.
8:19 p.m. ET: We love guys like Ben Briley because his voice totally doesn't sound like what we imagined after seeing him. He sounds like an older Hunter Hayes to us!
8:28 p.m. ET: Okay, we are old enough to be Jordan Brisbane's baby-sitter, but we have a feeling he's going to take this competition by storm — kinda like he's already predicted. What a bubbly, sweet kid! No surprise he got all three of the judges to say yes.
8:36 p.m. ET: Is it just us, or is Harry Connick Jr. getting sassier with every passing city? Not complaining. We like it.
8:38 p.m. ET: Jess Meuse auditions like a seasoned performer — and her songwriting isn't bad either. "My fans are my family." A little Demi Lovato in the making. We have a feeling she'd shudder at the comparison, but trust us, it's a compliment.
8:45 p.m. ET: If we have to hear one more terrible rendition of "Radioactive"...
8:54 p.m. ET: We love when contestants from previous cycles come back and audition again. That takes guts!
8:56 p.m. ET: We can't deny that Bria Anai Johnson can sing, but something about her personality (and that lipstick) is rubbing us totally the wrong way. She's super awesome at showing her emotion in her face and her voice as she sings, though!
That's it for this week, guys! Tune in next Wednesday for another two hours of auditions. It's our last week on the road!
