We've seen mighty-impressive singing chops from the cities auditioned so far, but we have a hunch that we'll see star potential in spades in Utah's and Nebraska's largest cities.
We'll be providing a live recap of tonight's installment starting at 9 p.m., when the episode kicks off on the East Coast. So be sure to check back here then keep circling back for expert rehashing of all the highlights and lowlights. Enjoy the show, people!
8:03 p.m. ET: With a name like Austin Wolfe, this girl should definitely fight crime or something. As a side note, how many more times are we going to hear "Radioactive?"
8:13 p.m. ET: We always feel bad for the judges when they have to be brutally honest with people who genuinely think they're talented when they're not. Who likes crushing dreams?
8:15 p.m. ET: Alex Preston, we were not expecting that voice out of you. We like it! Especially for someone who plays guitar and has never had a lesson. That takes talent!
8:19 p.m. ET: This is the first female rapper we've seen this season. There's always one...
8:29 p.m. ET: We can't believe the amount of people who have performed their own songs at auditions this year! It's a gutsy move — But one that's been working out in their favor lately.
8:32 p.m. ET: It's almost kind of a bummer how much this dude is trying to be Ed Sheeran... there can only be one!
8:40 p.m. ET: Kenzie Hall is actually adorable. We want to be friends with this girl. And she already has stage presence!
8:43 p.m. ET: What kind of fiancé ditches someone for following their dreams? Not cool.
8:54 p.m ET: We love C.J. Harris He seems like such a nice guy. He would totally water your plants while you're out of town, and then refuse to take your money when you try to pay him.
9:02 p.m. ET: Tequila is in the building... and how would we ever have known without that announcement?
9:05 p.m. ET: But seriously, how awesome does J.Lo look in red lipstick?
9:15 p.m. ET: Okay, these flashback videos from the judges are giving us life right now. How adorable was baby Harry?!
9:18 p.m. ET: Dexter Roberts's voice is made for country music. And so is his accent.
9:26 p.m. ET: The voice on Briston Maroney! Different than anything we've heard so far. We like it. And so does J.Lo, because this might be the first time a performance has garnered a "Woo!" from her.
9:40 p.m. ET: That is the most cringe-inducing version of "Barracuda" we've ever heard. And if the looks on their faces are any indication, the judges definitely agree.
9:55 p.m. ET: Casey Thrasher's story about meeting Keith was so precious! His voice isn't the best one we've heard, but we really like this guy anyway. As the judges constantly remind us, it's about more than just a good voice!
9:58 p.m. ET: Before we sign off for the evening we want to proclaim our love for Harry's hipster glasses. That is all. See ya tomorrow night!
