After a whopping five seasons of too many questions and not enough answers, Teen Mom 2's Leah Messer finally got a diagnosis for her daughter, Aliannah Hope. This sweet little lady was born with a developmental disorder, and it turns out the disorder in question is most likely Ullrich congenital muscular dystrophy. It's definitely a serious affliction, but Leah and her family are willing to do what it takes to help Ali get through it!
This week, our girl Leah and her ex-husband Corey Simms (plus his inexplicable baseball hat) came to terms with their daughter's diagnosis after visiting a specialist, where they learned a few dramatic details about Ali's condition. The bad news? We spent most of the episode weeping into a bucket of ice cream at the painful realization that Ali will have to be in a wheelchair once she goes to school. The good news? Ali seemed relatively happy throughout the episode, and was pretty oblivious to the sad news that her parents received.
It's definitely hard to think about Ali being in a wheelchair (and pretty hard to see Leah cry), but we're so happy that Leah and Corey have learned how to co-parent their little lady and do what's best for their blended family. Not only did these two team up during Ali's appointment, Leah's husband Jeremy came along for the ride so that the entire family could learn about Ali's condition together.
How did you feel about this emotional episode of Teen Mom 2? Were you shocked by the news that Ali will have to use a wheelchair?
