An awards show should typically be a happy event, but that was not the case for a BET Awards pre-party event this weekend, as someone was hospitalized after getting stabbed.
TMZ reports that there was a stabbing at an awards ceremony pre-party on June 28. According to law enforcement, a man in his 20s was stabbed on the dance floor at Lure nightclub following a fight.
The man was reportedly rushed via ambulance to nearby Cedars-Sinai hospital with two stab wounds. He is said to currently be in stable condition.
Rapper Meek Mill hosted the party, and numerous other celebs were in attendance, including The Game, Mase, and Dr. Doolittle star Kyla Pratt. The awards show is still set to air live on BET on June 29, hosted by Chris Rock. Chris Brown is among those set to perform.
Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Times is reporting that a gunman opened fire at another BET Awards pre-party at the Monalizza. One person is dead and four are injured after the incident, which occurred at 5:17 a.m. on the morning of June 29.
