We love any reminder of how fun-loving and positive Cory Monteith (Finn) was before his shocking death this summer. That’s why it’s great that a new photo has surfaced, courtesy of a Glee star’s pal.
Marco Esposito is friends with Kevin McHale (Artie) and was on the Glee set for the filming of Season 1, Episode 20: “Theatricality.” As you may recall, this is the episode that involved the New Directions guys dressing up as the band KISS. And now Marco is sharing a great photo that was taken that day.
“Found this pic — from 4 years ago,” Marco captions the shot on Instagram. “Cory, me, Kevin behind the door, and Dianna taking a pic. Nothing but good memories from that day =] #tbt #glee #kissnumber.”
This photo of course brings back all kinds of warm and fuzzy memories for us of the show’s Season 1 heydey. Who could ever forget the awesome rendition that the guys did of “Shout It Out Loud” in full KISS regalia? And look how young Cory looks!
We love this photo because it’s always great to see a candid shot of Cory. As you would expect, he is smiling, even though he doesn’t appear to know that the photo is being taken. And we also like seeing Dianna Agron (Quinn) — with reddish hair! — sneak that shot of Cory while he’s on the phone, which feels like a cute moment between them.
It’s still hard to adjust to the fact that Cory is gone, but revisiting moments like this one help to alleviate the pain in light of all the joy that Cory’s life brought.
